'Slab Serif City' Project

The 'Slab Serif City' project began in early 2020 in response to my love of this particular brand of letterform. What started as a challenge to design a full alphabet of 26 letters evolved into the development of an imaginary city called 'Slab Serif City'. Buildings and landmarks are dominated by slab serif letterforms. It is an alternative reality in which the lives of the city's inhabitants are defined by the letterforms. The project is ongoing with an accompanying map of the fictional city in development. A related narrative is likely to follow soon after.
